Not safe. Scammers stick their own numbers on ATMs. The person who answers will ask for your PIN.

Say “no, thank you”, then call your bank on a number you saved yourself, or go into the bank

Safe choice. Correct. Your bank can block the card at once. Never accept help at the ATM, however kind it seems.
